Sixth Form Destinations
"The personal development of pupils is excellent and by the time they leave the school, they have developed moral and social values to guide them well in adult life.” - ISI Inspection Report
PGHS students study a wide variety of subjects for A-Level (or International Baccalaureate) at a range of highly respected sixth form providers. Our girls have access to the wide variety of sixth form courses available in North London and they are welcomed by other establishments because of their first class GCSE results and the excellent ‘all-round’ education they receive at PGHS. As a school we have excellent links with the institutions which teach our girls in the sixth form.

Our highly experienced staff offer advice to girls about subject choices, which is carefully tailored to each individual’s own abilities, skills and preferences. However, our advice does not stop at sixth form choices, we encourage our pupils to look beyond A-Levels to university. The programme incorporates guidance from universities e.g. via the Cambridge university outreach team as part of the Careers Advice & Guidance Curriculum.
We enjoy welcoming our former students, who return to PGHS on a regular basis with news from sixth form, university and beyond. Alumnae have studied a wide range of subjects at degree level at top universities e.g. Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, Edinburgh, Imperial, King’s London, Leeds, LSE, Manchester, Nottingham, UCL. Following success at university, subsequent careers include accountancy, education, engineering, law, journalism, medicine and veterinary science.
