PGHS Nursery is located in purpose built premises and provides a stimulating, happy and secure environment – where learning is fun! Each individual pupil is nurtured and encouraged to develop independence, imagination and an enquiring mind. However, children do not all develop and learn at the same rate and so each girl is treated as an individual to enable them to fulfil their potential.
The nursery follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum – the document published by the DfES, which sets out goals for learning for children to achieve by the end of their reception year.
PGHS Nursery operates a 'key worker' system. This means that a member of staff has a group of girls for whom they are particularly responsible. Each child's 'key worker' will work with them to ensure continuity of care and help her settle into the nursery quickly and smoothly.
