Curriculum
Key Stage 2
In Years 3-6 there is a broad and balanced curriculum with plentiful opportunities for independent and active learning. The girls learn the following subjects:
Flatford Mill
English, Mathematics, Science, Art, Design & Technology, Drama, French (currently introduced in Year 3 in the Spring Term, available as an extra-curricular club to Year 4, and taught from the Summer Term in Year 5 and throughout Year 6), Geography, History, ICT, MFL Awareness (German, Russian and French – Year 5 only) Music, PE and RE.
In addition PSHE (Personal, Social and Health Education) is delivered as a cross-curricular programme.
In the final years of Juniors, school visits, especially residential ones are extremely important for academic and social development. Our Year 5 pupils’ curriculum is greatly enriched by their 3 day visit to Flatford Mill.
