Year 10 drama students honour Hollywood film legend and former pupil Dame Flora Robson

Year 10 drama students Megha Shah, Deborah Ssekyejwe and Elizabeth Tomalin took the lead on Sunday afternoon in commemorating former pupil and Oscar-nominated star Dame Flora Robson at her former home. She was honoured with the unveiling of a blue plaque at the Southgate home where she grew up, The Lawe, in The Mall. About 50 people witnessed the unveiling, including members of Southgate District Civic Trust and Palmers Green High School, who jointly sponsored the plaque, as well as current resident Peter Wurr and members of Ms Robsons' former church, the United Reform Church, in Fox Lane. Flora Robson attended Palmers Green High School from the age of 13, and went on in 1919 to the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, of which she later became president.
