Year 10 Duke of Edinburgh Award Practice Expedition

A group of 25 girls from Year 10 spent the first weekend of the Easter school holidays at Skreens Park in Roxwell on a practice expedition for their Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award. The girls were put into teams of five and walked 15km over the weekend carrying all the necessary camping equipment. They put into practice what they had learnt during their preparation lessons which included putting up tents, map reading and cooking. The weather was very nice and the girls are now looking forward to their qualifying expedition in June.
