“For the past year my daughter has attended this amazing nursery. Her understanding and learning has come along in leaps and bounds, helped by the huge range of educational toys, books, smart board and teaching skills.” - Mother of child attending the Alice Nursery 2009
“I have been continually impressed by each aspect of the nursery - work, play, fun, friends, food, support, facilities, materials, range of achievements and just generally creating confident children who feel genuinely cared for.” - Mother of child attending the Alice Nursery 2009
The Alice Nursery is located in brand new purpose built premises and provides a stimulating, happy and secure environment – where learning is fun! Each individual pupil is nurtured and encouraged to develop independence, imagination and an enquiring mind. However, children do not all develop and learn at the same rate and so each girl is treated as an individual to enable them to fulfil their potential.
The nursery follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum – the document published by the DfES, which sets out goals for learning for children to achieve by the end of their reception year.
The Alice Nursery operates a 'key worker' system. This means that a member of staff has a group of girls for whom they are particularly responsible. Each child's 'key worker' will work with them to ensure continuity of care and help her settle into the nursery quickly and smoothly.
