A very warm welcome to our new Headmistress

Palmers Green High School is delighted to welcome a new Headmistress, Mrs Wendy Kempster, who joins the school from Loughborough High School. Mrs Kempster was Deputy Headmistress there for five years and prior to that she worked at Nottingham Girls’ High School as Head of Mathematics and for a period of time as Assistant Headteacher. Throughout her career she has led on a number of academic and pastoral roles which culminated in becoming Acting Headmistress of Loughborough High School in the summer of 2015.   To support what she does at school, she has trained as an ISI inspector and is accredited as an Advanced Skills Teacher. She has also been a Governor for over 15 years in three different schools from infant through to secondary.

Mrs Kempster said “I am extremely proud to be the new Headmistress of Palmers Green High School and have been made to feel very welcome by the school community. I am really enjoying getting to know everyone and have been very impressed by the energy, drive and enthusiasm I have encountered already. I look forward to working with members of the whole school community to take Palmers Green forwards whilst preserving its ethos and character.”
