American author, Rick Yancey, gives pupils a sneak preview of his latest sci-fi novel ‘The 5th Wave’

A group of Year 8 pupils were invited along to Oasis Academy in Enfield this week to listen to American author, Rick Yancey, talk about his new book ‘The 5th Wave’ which is set to be made into a film for Sony Pictures. Rick, who has written 13 novels, talked about where his ideas came from and discussed the background to the story whilst showing some exciting book trailers promoting the imminent release of the first book in the series. Palmers Green High School pupils joined children from Chace Community School, Highlands School and Winchmore School for the author event and many of them bought the book afterwards which Rick signed for them.
