Palmers Green High School celebrated its 108th birthday today with a service at St.John’s, Palmers Green. This was followed by a reception at the Elizabeth Smith Hall where the current head girls cut the birthday cake and staff, friends and alumni raised a glass to toast the school. This year to decorate the church, under the guidance of the Art department, every girl from Year 2 to 9 designed and created an individual flag inspired by studies of flowers. A selection of music and poetry was performed by the Junior and Senior girls to celebrate this event along with some favourite hymns. The Prep department delighted everyone with their hand-made flowers, rainbows and butterflies. The whole school joined together to sing ‘Joseph’s Coat’.
