PGHS celebrates its 112th Founder's Day!

1st August 2020

The whole school gathered together in St. John’s Church today to celebrate the school’s 112th Founder’s Day. Pupils, parents, past pupils and staff enjoyed this special celebration of the school’s birthday and was the first Founder’s Day celebration for our new Headmistress, Mrs Wendy Kempster.

Everyone enjoyed the lovely singing from the girls and pupils had made some fantastic bunting to decorate the church. This year the retiring collection at the end of the service was in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust.  Back at school we all had a piece of the beautifully iced Founder’s Day cake, which was cut by the current Head Girls, and all pupils received a special birthday cup cake.
