PGHS girls are runners up in the Carnegie Shadowing Book Club quiz

Congratulations to the girls in the Carnegie Shadowing Book Club who came second to The Latymer School in an exciting quiz and Finale event at Ridge Avenue Library. The nine girls from Y8, 9 & 10 answered questions about the eight books on the book award shortlist, as well as voting for their favourite book. Over the past few months the girls have been reading, reviewing and discussing as many of the shortlisted books as possible with a view to picking their favourite before the winner is announced. At the end of the event Wonder, the critically acclaimed debut novel about facial disfigurement by R. J. Palacio was picked as the Enfield favourite and everyone is now looking forward to hearing the announcement of the overall winner on Wednesday 19th June.
