Year 7 pupil scores highly in national French competition Linguatrivia

1st August 2020

Congratulations to all our Year 7 pupils who recently participated in the French competition Linguatrivia. They sat a 30 minute national test in which they had to answer 50 multiple choice questions covering a variety of topics, from French grammar to culture.

Across the country more than 5000 pupils from 129 schools took part in this annual French competition. Head of Modern Foreign Languages Madame Parry-Garnaud was delighted with the results, especially as Sophie Etinger’s score was in the top 55 in the country and she received an annual subscription to the Mary Glasgow Magazine. All pupils who took part received a certificate, a Je parle français badge, an Eiffel Tower key ring and a multi-language vocabulary wheel.
