  • 1905

    Miss Alice Hum welcomes 12 pupils to her School at No. 1 Osborne Road, N13.

  • 1907

    A second house next door is taken and Miss Tempest joins the staff. Boys move to Avondale Hall in Hoppers Road

  • 1918

    Roll grows to 300 pupils and boys school phased out. Palmers Green High School for Girls takes over Avondale Hall

  • 1928

    Alice Humm passes away at the age of 53.

  • 1929

    Miss L.M Levesley and Miss G.M Elvidge become joint Headmistresses of the school.

  • 1939

    Boys join the school as Keble School for Boys is used for the war effort.

  • 1959

    Mrs E.A Agnew becomes Headmistress.

  • 1960s

    Science block added.

  • 1973

    Miss C.B Miller becomes Headmistress.

  • 1978

    Miss J.F Baker becomes Headmistress.

  • 1985

    Mrs A.F.E Woodings becomes Headmistress.

  • 1989

    Mrs S. Grant becomes Headmistress.

  • 2002

    Mrs J.C Edmundson becomes Headmistress.

  • 2004

    Elizabeth Smith Hall constructed.

  • 2005

    PGHS celebrates its 100th Anniversary with a celebratory Founder's Day Service at St John's Church.

  • 2015

    PGHS celebrates its 110th Anniversary with a celebratory Founder's Day Service at St John's Church.

  • 2017

    Mrs W.J Kempster becomes Headmistress.

  • 2023

    Ms S Proudlove becomes Headmistress.

  • 2004

    Elizabeth Smith Hall constructed.

  • 2025

    PGHS celebrates its 120th Anniversary with a celebratory Founder's Day Service at St John's Church.
