World Book Day

4th March 2022

Pupils and staff had a wonderful day celebrating World Book Day. It started with an excellent visit from acclaimed local author, Caroline Green which we really enjoyed. The girls in the Lower School dressed up as a favourite book character & the staff surprised them by dressing up, as a group, as Wally from ‘Where’s Wally?’ The whole School had an opportunity to ‘Drop Everything And Read’ twice in the day, a great chance to relax and think about the importance of books and reading for pleasure.

We’re delighted to have won a national award in The Sunday Times Parent Power Guide 2026.

PGHS has been named ‘Independent 11-16 School of the Year for Academic Excellence 2026’.
