Alumni Celebration 2026

6th May 2026

We were delighted to welcome alumni, former staff and current staff to our recent Alumni Celebration, a memorable event that brought the PGHS community together to reflect, reconnect and celebrate 121 years of our school’s remarkable history.

Held as PGHS approaches its closure at the end of this academic year, the celebration was both deeply moving and joyful. The event was filled with warmth, shared memories and a strong sense of pride, offering a poignant moment to honour the rich legacy of the school and the generations it has shaped. Guests enjoyed the chance to reconnect with old friends and colleagues while celebrating the enduring spirit and values that have made PGHS so special to so many.

We were especially grateful to our wonderful speakers, who generously shared personal reflections and stories from their time at the school. Spanning many decades, these memories brought to life the experiences that have bound the PGHS community together over the years. A particularly moving moment came as attendees joined together to sing both the old and new school songs, a powerful reminder of the continuity and strength of our shared identity.

Another highlight of the afternoon was welcoming Head Girls from across the years to the stage during refreshments, where they joined together for the ceremonial cutting of the celebratory cake.

We would like to thank everyone who contributed to making the event such a meaningful occasion. Our heartfelt thanks also go to Mother Kathryn Twining and St John the Evangelist Church for hosting us so warmly and helping to create a truly special celebration of PGHS and its enduring legacy.
