For 121 years, Palmers Green High School has been far more than a place of learning. It has been a community shaped by generations of pupils, staff and families; a place where friendships were formed, aspirations were nurtured, and lives were shaped by a shared commitment to the school’s enduring motto: “By Love Serve One Another.”
As we come to the end of this remarkable chapter in the school’s history, we warmly invite our former pupils to join us on Thursday 30th April for a special alumni celebration, as we reflect on the legacy of the school, its founding values, and the countless lives it has touched over more than a century.
The afternoon will begin with a commemorative service at St John’s Church at 4pm, offering a moment to pause, remember and give thanks for the generations who have walked through the school’s doors and contributed to its story. Following this, former pupils are welcome back to our school for tours, refreshments, and the opportunity to explore displays of photographs, archives and memorabilia that capture the spirit and history of PGHS. There will be time to reconnect, to share memories, and to celebrate the friendships and experiences that have endured long beyond school days.
Above all, this gathering is an opportunity to come together, as a community bound by shared experience and values, to honour the past, celebrate the present, and carry forward the spirit of “By Love Serve One Another” into the future.
We very much hope our alumni will join us for this special and meaningful occasion.

Member meetings are usually held once a year on Founder’s Day (normally the second Friday in May). Alumni are also most welcome to attend events at School which are of specific interest to them e.g. the GCSE Art Exhibition and Drama performances and are encouraged to contact the School Office at office@pghs.co.uk for information about tickets and timings.
If you left Palmers Green High School before Year 11 or have never opted to join the association, we welcome your membership. Please email us at alumni@pghs.co.uk, or fill in the online form below to join us. Alternatively, if you wish to ask any questions you may phone the School Office on 020 8886 1135.
