Happy 119th Birthday PGHS!

7th May 2024

Friday 3rd May was a day full of celebrations as we marked the history of Palmers Green High School on its 119th Birthday.

As part of our PGHS birthday celebrations, as a special treat all the pupils at our Nursery and School enjoyed some delicious pink cupcakes during break-time.

In the afternoon our annual Founder’s Day service, which marks the history of Palmers Green High School, was held at St John’s The Evangelist. It was a beautiful service full of poems, songs, hymns and readings relating to the theme of compassion. Thank you to our parents, friends, alumnae and governors who attended and celebrated with us.

The church service was followed by a drinks reception in our Elizabeth Smith Hall with the cutting of our Founder’s Day cake.

Thanks to the vision and commitment of Miss Alice Hum, young women have been able to receive an outstanding education here since 1905, ensuring that these women can be changemakers, trailblazers and pioneers in whatever field they choose.
