Bienvenue Mademoiselle Carlin!

In October, we welcomed our French language assistant, Mademoiselle Carlin to the school, and she has written about her experience so far below. Bienvenue Mlle Carlin!
Bonjour! I’m Mademoiselle Carlin and I have been working as a French language assistant since October at PGHS. I come from Valenciennes, a small city in the North of France and I will be working in Palmers Green High School until late May. I’m usually working with the GCSE pupils who study French in Year 10 and Year 11 preparing them for their speaking assessment and developing their knowledge of the French language and cultural aspect of France. I started doing fun lessons with the Lower and Prep school as well. This week’s class was Reception: the pupils got to learn some basic Christmas-related words by listening and trying to sing along French Christmas songs! They were fantastic and I really enjoyed their enthusiasm! I am looking forward to seeing Y1 next week.
